How to participate?

There are two modes available to enter the competition, in any case it’s free to compete as long as you own the game or visit an arcade venue with the game.

Mode 1 – Play in an Arcade Cabinet

Test your skills on Slam and Roll arcade machines, currently available in Spain:

In order to participate:

  1. Play a full game on an arcade machine.
  2. Enter your name on the “Game Over” screen.
  3. Scan the QR code to upload your score online.
  4. Send an email to info [at] kaleidogames.com, including your score and specifying the day you set the record and the arcade venue where you played.

Important: Only scores submitted between January 1st and March 4th, 2025 (GMT) will qualify for the finals.

Mode 2 – Play at Home

Valid versions are: 1.1.10+ for XBOX / Nintendo or 1.1.12+ for STEAM

Prefer gaming from the comfort of your home? No problem! Slam and Roll is available on Steam, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.

To participate:

  1. Play the game and record your entire gameplay session in ARCADE MODE . (standard, not hard)
  2. Upload the video as proof to YouTube (this ensures the legitimacy of your score).
  3. Submit your score online, specifying the platform used to verify your identity, along with a link to the uploaded video.
  4. Send your record to info [at] kaleidogames.com, including your score and the YouTube video link.

Deadline: Upload and share your video (and make it public) before the end of March 4th, 2025 (GMT).

Important: Only Slam and Roll-related content is allowed in the videos. Submissions that include other games in the same video will not be accepted.
Version needs to be seen in the submitted video, it appears on title screen.

Note: Players can use both modes (1 and 2), but only one top score will be accepted for the tournament.

The finalists will be announced here on this page and on social media.

Players who do not qualify for the finals at Retro Parla will receive a digital game (limited to available prizes*).

The Finals at RETROPARLA 2025

Qualified players will compete in person during Retro Parla, a free event held on March 15-16, 2025, in Parla, Madrid, Spain.

Finals Details:

  • Winners will be announced, and prizes will be awarded at the end of the event.
  • Contestants will play on provided arcade machines.
  • Each player will have two non-consecutive attempts to ensure fair play.
  • Player order will be shuffled to maintain impartiality.

Prizes

The top player will claim:

  • A customized high quality Slam and Roll arcade controller.
  • Free video games* (Digital and Retail versions)
  • Official Slam and Roll merchandise (t-shirts, mugs, posters, 2D plastic figures)
  • Official Sponsors merchandise.
  • And, of course, the grand trophy!

And of course, there will be prizes for second and third place as well.
